This hands-on three-hour workshop with Filmmaker-Author, Teacher Deb S. Patz will give you the basics about telling stories through film.
Wouldn't it be cool to make a movie?
What about a movie that you and your friends can star in? Even better?
Everyone in Hollywood started somewhere… so how about right here, right now for you?
Concordia Lutheran Seattle is presenting this hands-on workshop with guest industry pro Deborah S. Patz. It's a fun and accessible introduction to scriptwriting, shooting and editing. Deb made her first movies when she was 9 years old and has gone on to work on multimillion-dollar productions around the world… and even in space! Through games, exercises and observations, discover some of the many professional concepts in Deb’s latest book “Write! Shoot! Edit! A Complete Guide for Teen Filmmakers” as you start on the path of storytelling with a movie camera (aka your cell phone) and discover a new and deeper way to enjoy the movies you already watch. No filmmaking experience necessary… just experience watching movies.
