Local Author Open Mic

Calling all local writers and poets!

 

On the third Monday of each month (except December), we're hosting an open mic night for authors! Local writers of poetry, fiction, or nonfiction are welcome to present their work. Both those who are published, and those who are yet to be published, are encouraged to participate.
 

What you need to know:

  • Participants should arrive 15 minutes before start time to add their name to the reading list. We cannot accept sign-ups in advance via email.
  • Participants will have 5 minutes (less than 1,000 words) to read, recite, or present their work. Time starts when you step up to the mic.
  • Open to any genre, however, content should be appropriate for all audiences.
  • For the sake of time, no extra A/V is permitted (ie. no slideshow presentations, please).
  • Date and time are subject to change.
