Independent Bookstore Day!

Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day!

Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April.  Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. But in addition to authors, live music, cupcakes, scavenger hunts, kids events, art tables, readings, barbecues, contests, and other fun stuff, there are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day. Not before. Not after. Not online.

The #SEABOOKSTOREDAY Indie Bookstore Challenge

For the truly dedicated, the Indie Bookstore Challenge is a book-lover’s dream. Visit 19 participating local stores on April 29, get your passport stamped at each store, and receive 25 percent off at all participating stores for a year. In 2015, 42 valiant souls made the trek, and last year that number grew to 120 bookstore champions. Those looking for an easier challenge can get their passports stamped at three or more stores and be entered to win bookstore gift cards.

Pick up your #SEABOOKSTOREDAY Passport at any Third Place location and check back for store specific events and hours!  *no purchase required to participate
