POSTPONED: Ginna Luck - Everything Has Been Asking for Mercy

Unfortunately, this event has been POSTPONED. Sorry! Keep an eye on our social media, or subscribe to our email newsletter, for updates on all of our author events!

Everything Has Been Asking For Mercy is a collection of poems written over a seven year period of time during which the author, Ginna Luck, experiences a mysterious health crisis. At thirty two, after the birth of her second child, she is diagnosed with chronic fatigue and spends the next 8 years untangling a history of events that led her to depletion and illness. The collection weaves together a story of personal loss and recovery, grappling with a history of self-neglect and self-harm. Luck doesn’t necessarily try to make sense of her history but rather move through it and into hope, healing and love, despite, and maybe directly in relation to, the uncertainty of her future.

Ginna Luck's poems have appeared in Radar Poetry, Gone Lawn, Hermeneutic Chaos Journal, Rust + Moth, Leveler Poetry, Up The Staircase Quarterly and others. She has been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes. She received her MFA from Goddard college.
