Third Place Books no longer requires proof of vaccination for in-person events, and masks are strongly encouraged but not required. Third Place Books joins arts organizations across the Seattle metro area in updating our policies according to new state and county guidelines for public health.
These policies are subject to revision as health and safety guidelines change. By registering for an in-person event, you will receive updates on these policies.
Yes. Any in-person event that is canceled due to COVID-19 will be rescheduled virtually on Zoom Webinar, our virtual events platform. If an in-person event is moved virtually, we will automatically refund all General Admission tickets and register ticket holders for the virtual event. Customers who purchased book-included tickets will be given the opportunity to receive a full refund for their purchase, or retain their purchase in exchange for the featured book.
Great question. While we don't check registration at the door for free events, we require registration for two reasons. First, registration allows us to predict interest in our author events, and helps us determine when we need to change venues should demand increase unexpectedly. Second, should we cancel an in-person event due to COVID-19, registration allows us to contact all interested customers to inform them of the cancellation. We will continue to require (if not highly recommend) advance registration until further notice.
Occasionally! Third Place Books is unable to livestream every event on our in-person calendar, but we have plans to make this an option for select author events in the future. Livestream options will be advertised in our event listings when this option is available. Click here to watch recently recorded events on our YouTube Channel.
Third Place Books is thrilled to bring in-person author events back to the Seattle community this year. If you have questions or concerns, contact events@thirdplacebooks.com.
