We all have favorite books. Books that change us and make us better. In this post Courtney shares a deeply felt story about one of her favorites. Tissues at the ready.
October belongs to Ray Bradbury. This is a fact. For most of my life I was haunted by Ray Bradbury and didn’t even know it. Every fall for as long as I can remember the weirdest image would pop up in my mind. Just as the leaves were getting orange and crispy and my socks were becoming nice and soggy, this “memory” would assault me. I would remember this kid dying and being sucked into a large tree.
Let me say that once more, a kid DYING AND BEING SUCKED INTO A LARGE TREE. Was this memory?! Was I …dead?! Was I ghost? Was I Tyler Durding my family!!?? I DON’T KNOW IM 8 AND DON’T KNOW ANYTHING.
