We started the Books to Students Fund when student access to physical books became extremely limited as schools and libraries shut down to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The fund allowed us to support these students by donating books to Shoreline, Northgate, and Seattle public school districts and the literacy nonprofits Page Ahead and Reading Partners, all of whom distributed the books to students most impacted by the school closures in our Seattle community.
Now we are focused on creating lasting partnerships with schools and nonprofits as they continue their crucial work in bringing literacy to the students of Seattle.
We are so grateful to our community for the support you have shown since the fund began, and, in turn, we want to continue to do our part to support the students in our community. The amazing generosity of customers like you has enabled us to support so many students, educators, and community helpers.
If you are a school or nonprofit that would benefit from a partnership with the Books to Students Fund, please reach out to Sarah Breaux at firstname.lastname@example.org.
