About the Author
Barbara Shepherd was a court reporter before retiring in Arizona. She receives her inspiration for her books from the many criminal trials for which she reported in Superior Court. She also worked as a legal secretary for civil attorneys as well as prosecutors. Her love for justice drove her to make the prosecutor her star character. She continues the Mike McCarthy series in her new book, Act of Lust, to be released in the fall of 2016.
