You probably already know all about our staff picks. And chances are, if you've read a staff pick from our Lake Forest Park store, you've read one of Anje's. Anje is perhaps our most prolific, most hilarious staff pick writer. I've seen her convice a person to read a book with just three words. Here is one of her latest suggestions.
October belongs to Ray Bradbury. This is a fact. For most of my life I was haunted by Ray Bradbury and didn’t even know it. Every fall for as long as I can remember the weirdest image would pop up in my mind. Just as the leaves were getting orange and crispy and my socks were becoming nice and soggy, this “memory” would assault me. I would remember this kid dying and being sucked into a large tree.
Let me say that once more, a kid DYING AND BEING SUCKED INTO A LARGE TREE. Was this memory?! Was I …dead?! Was I ghost? Was I Tyler Durding my family!!?? I DON’T KNOW IM 8 AND DON’T KNOW ANYTHING.
