Mary has been happily married for 25 years. But on their 25th anniversary, her husband doesn't come home. Shocked by the realization that their worlds had nothing in common, that her life had shrunk to her house, she goes on a quest to find him. Along the way she discovers more about herself than she ever thought she would and that she has a lot to offer - I really enjoyed this and found Mary to be a great character!

Raised, educated, and experimented on by a group of philosophers in Revolutionary Boston, Octavian and his story are a slice out of the times. Somewhat difficult to read due to the time period (it's written as if we are there!) this National Book Award winner and its sequel, "The Kingdom of Waves," is worth checking out!

"Epitaph Road" is a gripping, thought-provoking read for teens and young adults. In 2067 a virus killed 97 percent of all the males on earth (babies to adults). 30 years later women rule the world; poverty, war and crime are only memories. But is this new age the utopia it seems to be? When a rumor circulates that a new outbreak of the virus is in the air, Kellen, a 14 year-old boy, sets out with his friends to warn his father, a fishermen living in an isolated village (mostly filled with other men) of the danger that he, too, may soon be eliminated. Along the way, Kellen discovers a secret that is so terrible that he knows his future, and the future of the world, will be completely changed. Ages 12 and up. - Rene K.

It also houses the secret Grimm Collection, a collection filled with the likes of the 7 League Boots and the Table of the Neverending Feast. When magical artifacts begin to disappear, Elizabeth and her friends must track down the thief to clear their names. This inventive and unique story is a lot of fun!
